After being cancelled last year, we are excited to share that the Source Kids Disability Expo will be back this year. It will take place in person in both Melbourne and Brisbane over the coming months.
In Melbourne, the event is scheduled on Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd.
According to the Source Kids website, “There are almost 850,000 people in Australia under the age of 25 years with a disability. Source Kids has been developed to deliver important information to those caring for and working with these children and young individuals.”
Throughout the year, Source Kids produce a quarterly magazine that shares timely and relevant information with a positive approach.
The Source Kids Expo was an outgrowth of the magazine and provides another way to bring together products and services for children with a disability.
The organisation was founded by Emma Price who struggled to find appropriate products and services for her daughter Charlotte. She realised that other people must face similar challenges and built the organisation to help showcase helpful products, services, and resources targeted and children with a disability.
While their primary way of sharing information is through the Source Kids magazine, every year Source Kids runs an Expo as well.
